Login or Register to make a submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • Authors are required to include a clear Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Declaration in their manuscript to ensure transparency and compliance with publication ethics. The declaration should state whether AI tools were used and, if so, specify the name of the tool, its purpose (e.g., language editing, data analysis), the extent of its use, and confirm that all content was reviewed and verified by the authors. If no AI tools were used, this must be explicitly stated. AI tools must not be listed as authors, and authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

Keep the layout simple without any special formatting, and do not justify the manuscript.

Please find the full author guidelines: Download Author Guidelines HERE

The declaration form must be submitted along with the manuscript. The form can be downloaded from AI usage declaration form

Article Publication Charges

IJG publishes 12 issues per year (monthly) online.

The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) for IJG is USD 650. Authors may opt for fast-track publication, with an expedited review and publication timeline of 2–3 weeks, for an APC of USD 850. The fast-track option does not imply acceptance without revision. It only allows for a shorter editorial and review processing time.

Open Access will guarantee that anyone can read and download the paper online. This enhances citation and your professional growth.  An invoice will be sent to the author before final acceptance of the paper.

English Proofing

It is strongly encouraged for all non-native English-speaking authors, as many reviewers often raise concerns about language issues in submitted papers. If the authors wish to use the proofreading and editing service prior to submitting their paper, it can be arranged at a nominal cost of US$150.

IJG will send a paper for review only after the English editing and proofreading have been completed. Once the final version is resubmitted, the paper will be proofread again before publication.

Review Process:

The review will be conducted online by three peer reviewers and will follow a double blind review process. The authors' names and affiliations will not be disclosed to the reviewers.

The review process typically takes about 4-6 weeks, and the paper can be published within 4–6 weeks after acceptance. The timeline may be expedited if the authors respond promptly to the reviewers' comments.

Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The utilization of AI and AI-assisted tools during manuscript preparation is permitted strictly for enhancing language and readability.

These technologies must not substitute fundamental research responsibilities. Specifically, AI cannot be used to conduct literature reviews, generate scientific insights, analyze or interpret data, formulate scientific conclusions, or design maps and diagrams.

If AI is used, it must be applied with active human supervision and explicitly disclosed in the work. Authors should remain vigilant, as AI systems can produce responses that seem authoritative but are actually inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Ultimately, the authors bear full responsibility and accountability for all content and outcomes presented in the manuscript.
