Abstract
Human health and disease prevalence are closely linked to several geospatial factors such as climate, environments, medical facilities, hygiene, socio-economic, topographic, and genetics. These are being monitored using GIS by organisations related to medical and public health. In recent times a revolutionary trend has emerged of using IT and bearable sensors to keep track of health parameters and be connected with a doctor 24/7 to avoid ignoring health conditions. This is giving rise to health-conscious society and ultimately a productive environment for countries. International Journal of Geoinformatics has been part of several Health GIS and Health IT international conferences and published special issues.
I extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Klanarong for serving as the Guest Editor of the March issue, which focuses on "Public Health and Health Science." This issue brings together diverse perspectives from the medical, information technology, and geospatial technology fields, offering a rich collection of peer-reviewed documents. I believe that this compilation will serve as a beacon of wisdom for future researchers, guiding them towards further advancements in research and facilitating solutions to numerous health and well-being challenges.
I thank all the reviewers and editors for their valuable time and also the authors for their wonderful contribution.
